Liaison between client (design professions and property owners) with local historic commissions, state historic preservation offices, the National Park Service and other agencies, organizations, and funding sources.

Project Development

Assist with project planning, assessment, testing, materials sourcing and selection, crafts and trades resources, specifications, project development and fundraising, publicity, site and project interpretation, publications and exhibits.

Education and Training

Develop site- and participant-specific education and training curriculum, workshops and courses with lecture, lab and hands-on site components, reading and reference materials (developed and posted on the Web, if needed). Offerings may include specialists in building craft and conservation professions, with projects developed in partnership with educational institutions and nonprofit organizations. Grants and CEU credit may be sought.


Written, graphic and photographic documentation employing applicable standards developed by the National Park Service for the development of National Register nominations, NHPA Section 106 compliance work, HABS/HAER Recording, conduct Historic Preservation Certification Application to take advantage of federal tax incentives.


Architectural conservation assessments to address existing conditions and develop treatment recommendations for preservation — developed to meet specific client and project needs,
Heritage Preservation Conservation Assessment Program (CAP) architectural assessments.


Specialized conservation services include:
   • Finishes (paint) analysis and research of historic structures.
   • Masonry analysis and research of historic structures.
